Good news for Karachiites: Ferry service between Do Darya to Port Qasim proposed
A Japanese company wants to start a ferry service from Karachi’s Do Dorya to Port Qasim and build other water sports facilities in Sindh. This is an exciting idea.
At a meeting, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Yamaha Japan’s Senior General Manager for Central Asia and the Middle East, Yoshiyuki ITO, talked about the idea.
A statement from the CM House says that they talked about making water sports facilities at different dams and lakes in the province, such as starting a ferry service from Do Darya to Port Qasim.
The chief minister said that there was a lot of potential to build water sports facilities at Keenjhar, Guddu, Sukkur, and Kotri Barrages in partnership with Yamaha Pakistan. He also said that these facilities could be built by the private sector.
The Yamaha official who was there told the CM that a ferry service could be set up to help with transportation and for fun.
He also said that their WaveRunners were the coolest.
